Welcome! Meet our Executive Board of 2018-2019
My name is Puja Patel, the President of REA. I am currently a third-year student, majoring in Business Economics. I joined the Real Estate Association to learn more about the different opportunities the real estate industry has to offer. REA was the foundation of my passion for real estate and I hope to expand different opportunities to undergraduate students at UCI. My hobbies outside of school include fashion, traveling, board games, trying new food, visiting Laguna Beach and music. My plans after graduation are to work, travel, and explore various business ventures with my father. My advice to REA members: Always follow what you’re passionate about because that will lead to your best work. Fun fact about myself: I love Frank Sinatra.
Executive Vice President:
My name is Hannah Park, the Executive Vice President of REA. I am currently a second-year student, majoring in Business Administration with an emphasis in Organization & Management. I joined the Real Estate Association with intentions of meeting like-minded professional students excited to take advantage of the diversity and unlimited opportunity in the field of real estate. My hobbies outside of school include traveling, running, and watching classic movies. Other than REA, I am also a member of Pre-Law Society, former Representative for the Merage Undergraduate Student Association, volunteer at the Armenian Youth Federation, and Financial Analyst at a real estate firm and Legal Assistant/Clerk at a law firm in Newport Beach. I advise any REA member to find a passion, set goals, and dedicate extra efforts to be successful. Once success is accomplished, I encourage all members to focus on inspiring and guiding others to accomplish successful and moral lives. I plan to take a year off to travel, volunteer with nonprofits, and work until attending a joint MBA/JD program. Fun fact about myself: Kobe Bryant is my idol.
Vice President of Internal Affairs:
My name is Melissa Garza, the Internal Vice President of REA. I am currently a third-year student, majoring in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance & Accounting. I joined REA to learn more about real estate. I like doing handlettering outside of school. As of now I don't have any involvement other than REA, but I'm planning to become a member of UBA and UFA along with a community service club next quarter! My advice to REA members: Try your best to get involved, especially in anything you're interested in. Discovery is an important part of college! After I graduate, I hope to get a job in the banking industry and eventually go to graduate school after a while. Fun fact about myself: My favorite color is green.
Vice President(s) of External Affairs:
My name is Yen Pham (pronounced “ee-in”), Vice President of External Affairs for REA. I’m on my third year of studying Business Administration and Global Cultures, with triple emphases in Marketing, Management, and Finance. UCI is filled with an abundance of opportunities to grow intellectually, professionally, and personally. Being a part of REA given me the ability to grow in all of these areas. REA is an exciting and rewarding way to connect with and learn from people in the real estate industry, while continuously paving your career path. Besides REA, I work as a Digital Marketing Intern for the Center for Investment and Wealth Management, I am the Director of Communications for the Antreader Book Club, and I volunteer with Habitat for Humanity. I love snowboarding, petting dogs, and discovering all the beautiful things the world has to offer. My plan after graduation is to attend law school, explore the world of entrepreneurship, and eventually teach in higher education. I am thrilled to be your VP of External Affairs for this year!
Hello! My name is Harshal Vaza and I am your VP of External Affairs! I am currently a first-year student, majoring in Business Economics. I joined the Real Estate Association because I am fascinated with the opportunities available in real estate. I realized after my first REA event that real estate has so many different avenues and professions. A career in commercial real estate is full of adventure and passionate individuals. I love meeting new people and networking with professionals to get a better idea of what I want to do in the future. Apart from REA I am a part of UCI Andaaz, which is a competitive South Asian Acapella team. I’m also passionate about anything that involves nature and the outdoors. In my free time, I play the guitar and ukulele. Anyways, I’m so exited to be a part of this great organization and I’m honored to be your VP of External Affairs for this year!
Vice President of Finance:
My name is Christopher Hay, the VP of Finance for REA. I am currently a third-year Business Economics major and minoring in accounting. I joined the Real Estate Association to learn more about how commercial and residential properties are bought, sold, and managed. Although finance has always been my main focus in school, real estate has intrigued me in my search for multiple incomes. I am currently interning at Keller Williams Realty and part of the Undergraduate Finance Association and Accounting Association. Outside of school I like to snowboard, rock climb, go hiking, and sometimes just stay at home and watch a good movie. My advice to new members and new students is to find something you’re passionate about here at UCI and always STAY MOTIVATED!
Vice President of Marketing:
My name is Eunice Lee, the Vice President of Marketing of REA. I'm finishing my final year at UCI as a Business Economics major with an emphasis in Marketing. I initially joined REA to expand my knowledge of real estate and meet with professionals and other students who share the same interest. However, I also found a family and a support network of mentors who help me understand and survive college. I am currently employed as a Digital Marketing Intern at PrescribeWellness, and I have worked as a social media advisor for various stores and brands. Outside of REA, I actively participate in music, photography, and watching Tasty videos.
Fun Fact: My favorite animals are elephants and sloths!
Vice President of Communications:
My name is Huimin (Mindy) Ling, the Vice President of Communication of REA. I am currently a second year student, majoring in Business Economic. I developed my interest in real estate during my internship at Keller Williams Realty, so I joined the REA to meet like-minded people and learn more about real estate investment. Other than REA, I am also the co-founder and marketing director of ZotPin at UCI, and the intern at the School of Social Science Resource Center. Outside of school, I love traveling and doing some outdoor sports. I wish I can travel the world and take nice photos before getting old.
Vice President of Community Development:
My name is Richard Hoang, the Vice President of Community Development. I am currently a second-year student majoring in Business Administration. I joined REA hoping to connect with other individuals interested in real estate as well as learn about the real estate industry from established professionals. My plan after graduating UCI is to work on investing and developing real estate properties. Fun fact about myself, I am a huge Drake fan and I love the Lakers.
